The World of 8 Billion Student Video Contest, organized by Population Connection, is an international competition open to grades 6-12 students worldwide. Judging Criteria

Judging is based on a rubric that includes compliance with contest guidelines (time limit, language/subtitles, no copyrighted materials, accuracy of information), and four scored categories weighted equally: how well the video explains the impact of population growth on the chosen topic (20%), topic knowledge (20%), quality and detail of the sustainable solution (20%), and uniqueness/creativity/originality of the video (20%). Videos are judged individually, with prizes awarded by topic and educational level (middle school and high school), as well as state, regional, and global recognition.
