Participation Information
Students qualify for the USAMO by excelling in the AMC 10/12 and the American Invitational Mathematics Exam (AIME). The top 6 students represent the U.S. at the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO).
Open to high school students in the U.S. who qualify through the AMC and AIME
Trophies, certificates, and selection for the USA IMO team
Students qualify for the USAMO by excelling in the AMC 10/12 and the American Invitational Mathematics Exam (AIME). The top 6 students represent the U.S. at the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO).
1. Perform well in the AMC 10/12 and AIME to qualify for the USAMO. 2. Compete in proof-based problem-solving rounds. 3. The top students are invited to join the U.S. team for the IMO.
