The Invent America! competition is conducted through local schools and families. Students go through the process of inventing-from brainstorming ideas, to designing a plan, to building and displaying the invention to solve an everyday problem. The enrollment kit contains lesson plans and activities for Grades K-8. Enrolled entities may submit one entry from each participating grade to the national competition. Criteria for judging student entries include creativity, usefulness, illustration, communication of ideas, and research performed.
