Genes in Space challenges students to design DNA experiments that address space exploration challenges. Winners get their experiment conducted aboard the ISS.

Students propose DNA-based experiments for space exploration, working alone or in teams of up to two, and submit proposals online.
Open to U.S. students in grades 7-12.
Fully funded travel to ISS launch site for finalists; certificates, mentorship, and national recognition
