About the competition

This international competition is designed to encourage original ideas for future space technology. This contest links the space community with writers and encourages young people to become more involved in science and physics and to share their ideas with others. Participants complete a science fiction story and/or a creative piece of artwork. Each year has a different theme, and participants are asked to incorporate the theme into their work. Entries are judged on use of technology in the story, creativity and innovative ideas, storyline, plot, characters, clarity, style, realism, and convincing description.
