About the competition

The AMC 8 is a 25-question, 40-minute multiple-choice competition designed to enhance problem-solving skills and foster a love for mathematics among middle school students. The competition offers an introduction to challenging mathematical concepts in a fun and engaging way.

Participation Information

Schools register their students online through the MAA website. The AMC 8 is held annually in January, and students participate at their schools or other registered competition sites.
