Students register through their universities and participate in a six-hour exam. The top individual scorers receive recognition as Putnam Fellows, and teams can win prizes for their institutions.
Open to undergraduate students enrolled in U.S. or Canadian institutions
$25,000 for 1st place team; $2,500 individual prizes; certificates and national recognition for mathematics excellence
