About the competition

The competition encourages high school students to work collaboratively to develop creative and innovative solutions for real-world problems. Participants gain entrepreneurial skills and experience through this year-long program. Students work in teams to brainstorm ideas, develop business plans, and create innovative solutions.

Participation Information

High school students participate through their schools in an 18-county region in North Carolina. Registration details and competition criteria can be found on the competition website.
Open to high school students in an 18-county region in North Carolina.
$1,000 for 1st place, $500 for 2nd place; certificates and networking opportunities
High school students participate through their schools in an 18-county region in North Carolina. Registration details and competition criteria can be found on the competition website.
1. Form a team and register for the competition. 2. Develop an innovative solution or business idea. 3. Participate in the YEPex Youth Summit.
Access to educational resources, mentorship, and guidance provided by the UNCW Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE).
Judging is based on creativity, feasibility, and the impact of the proposed solution or business idea. Judges provide feedback to participants.
